CowCare DD-DELETE® is a professional hoof-care product designed for direct and precise application during routine cattle skin care procedures. Its thick tar-based consistency helps the product remain on the selected area, while the cartridge format allows controlled application using a compatible dispensing gun.
Developed in cooperation with Finnish hoof-care specialists, CowCare DD-DELETE® is manufactured at the developer’s own production facilities in Latvia.
The formula contains tar, salicylic acid and copper sulphate. It has a characteristic fresh tar odour and is supplied in a 300 ml cartridge for use with the CowCare Dispensing Gun for 360 g/300 ml cartridges.
About Digital Dermatitis and Mortellaro disease
Digital Dermatitis is a condition affecting the skin around a cow’s claws, most commonly near the heel area. It is also widely known as Mortellaro disease.
Visible signs may include red, irritated, moist, thickened, or wart-like areas around the claw. Affected animals may also show changes in movement or sensitivity around the hoof.
Regular hoof inspection, appropriate hygiene, routine hoof trimming, and early assessment by a qualified hoof-care professional or veterinarian are important parts of herd hoof management.

Instructions for use
Carry out the normal hoof-trimming and cleaning procedure before application.
Carefully clean and dry the selected area using absorbent paper or a single-use cloth. For easier application, make sure CowCare DD-DELETE® is at room temperature.
Insert the cartridge into a compatible dispensing gun and apply an appropriate amount directly to the selected area. A suitable hoof bandage may be applied to keep the product in place when required. Remove the bandage after four to five days.
Further application should only be carried out as appropriate within the animal’s normal hoof-care routine.
Wear suitable protective gloves during application. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin, and follow the instructions and safety information shown on the product label.
Good health of feet is one of the most significant production animal welfare factors and also a key factor for the producer. In the majority (approx. 90%) of cases, the cause of limping is in the hooves. If the animals do not move sufficiently or at all, both health and production-related problems may arise. Acute cases must be treated quickly and efficiently.
For the best possible results, CowCare DD-DELETE® claw gel is applied directly on the targeted area and then wrapped with a tape or bandage, which should be removed after 4-5 days.
In addition, CowCare DD-DELETE® has a fresh tar odour and is easy and accurately applied with a dispensing gun. It is recommended to wear protective gloves during application. To avoid financial loss and cattle claw problems, it is recommended to help cows with hoof problems immediately and in a hoof trimming rhythm of 2-3 times a year.
