Simultaneous Claw Fixation add-on unit for the 800-1
We introduce to you the “simultaneous claw fixation unit”. This add-on unit ensures that both all claws are fixated at the same time. This innovative product (patent pending) is developed by a Dutch engineering company and commisioned by a Dutch hoof trimmer (Wim Hochstenbach). Wim is working with a KVK 800-1, so the unit needs to be easy to install on any 800-1.
So why did they develop this add-on unit for him?
1. Ergonomics: A more ergonomic way of working. Because both back legs are fixated at the same time, less actions need to be performed. Normally half way you need to put away your angle grinder to move the fixation plate to the other leg and after that pick up your angle grinder again. All these actions are not needed when using the simultaneous claw fixation unit.
2. Faster: To do the same amount of cows in a shorter time. After long testing (9 months), we found out that it shortens the time you are trimming between 5 and 10%. On an 8 hour working day, that means 30 minutes faster finished with your job.
The unit has been tested for 9 months on a KVK 800-1 and at the moment the first 2 units are running in the Netherlands. The Dutch engineering company has asked us to put it on the market, because we see that this could also be very usefull for other hoof trimmers.
The simultaneous claw fixation unit fits on any KVK 800-1, without altering the structure of the crush. It is an add-on unit.
